The Confusion Chamber Empty
PostSubject: The Confusion Chamber   The Confusion Chamber EmptyTue Feb 16, 2010 2:18 pm

Well I put together a trap consiting of some old plastic shelving and hardware cloth. No trigger, no funnel, just several different chambers forming a bit of a confusing time for the sparrows. Seems to work so far, but I have only seen one bird get into it. It managed to get out thanks to a design flaw but the concept seemed to work.

Since the bird got out I have been kicking around some fun ideas in my head. The first idea I came up with was to use some old squirrel traps that I have lying around. I used them successfully in Florida for the sparrows, so I have attatched one to the trap. The video will outline things a little better.

Just added 3 more squirrel traps around the chamber. I get excited sometimes.

And I failed again. Appearently the spaces in the flooring were too big and the bird went right out the bottom of the chamber.

This is getting frustating. I need to slow down and pay attention to what I'm doing!

Well at least you're big enough to admit defeat in this case. I'm sure you would have made it work if you would have given it more time.
